CAT ROLE/MINGLE IN GAME
Cats will NOT participate in regular mingle. They will have their own special mingle where the rules are explained to them!
The game is called KNOWING IS HALF THE BATTLE and when game starts, the Cats will be expected to introduce themselves (you can go wild here, as long as it's flashy).
Cats will be HOSTING each rounds, two Cats to a team/team combination. I will post the tentative assignments here but you guys are free to make requests or anti-requests. These are subject to change. As hosts/announcers, they are allowed to riff to each other and will be reading the questions and potential answers to the questions, and answering dramatically when people succeed or fail.
For each participating character, they will have three questions each. Everyone else will have a ten minute period in which to guess the answers. The first THREE answers will be accepted, and Cats have to cut them off after then. If the Cat hams up their hosting role correctly, they'll be able to offer hints to the teams later (ask a teammate, charades, etc). I'll let you know at the end of the hosting round how your characters did.
-If the Cat attempts to help the teams, hint at or outright state an answer, their words will be bleeped out as if they were swearing (feel free to have fun with this), and they'll take on a penalty, as will the team(s) they're hosting for. Please let me know if this happens, though I'll be keeping an eye on it myself.
AT THE END OF ALL THE ROUNDS, teams will (or intermission if it drags on too long) spin a Wheel of Torture for what the penalties entail, and Nyssa will offer the chance for a Cat to lessen or erase their penalties if they agree to deal out the penalties themselves. Other incentives will be provided, as well, specific to your Cat. If they take this option, they will be unable to reveal their motivations in any capacity until the game is over. (IE; you can't hint or tell teams you're doing this for their sake. This is only for the duration of the game, once it's over, it's fine)
Another option for Cats to lessen/erase penalties is if they make a special deal with Nyssa. If you take this option please be advised this involves become Nyssa's puppet or otherwise owing her a "favor" in future happenings, (Opening you up to Plot and which she will likely use to harm others) and it cannot be undone or retconned. Make sure you're prepared for the consequences of this if you should choose to take this option.
Cats are allowed to visit team rooms and interact with team characters in between rounds, however, they cannot offer hints or information or aide. Furthermore, they must treat the team members as if they're being cheezily interviewed, and can only interact with them in that capacity.
Aka: How are you feeling becomes -> AH, OUR GUEST OF HONOR! How are you feeling? Nervous? Accomplished? That was quite a round!"
I'll update things accordingly when R2 rolls around and add any tweaks.
All of this is IC knowledge EXCEPT that they'll be able to reveal their true motivations when the game is over and what will happen to them if they make a deal with Nyssa. (obviously they can guess it'll be Terrible)

Re: AFTER EXITING THE STAGE
You're not the one that let her down.
Re: AFTER EXITING THE STAGE
Just you? You think we didn't all want to do something for her either?
Re: AFTER EXITING THE STAGE
There were two people capable of it on our team that could have done something for her. [ Slight bitterness at that. But let's be real, he's just mainly pissed off at Nyssa and taking it out on anyone he actually can. ]
Not like that peanut gallery helped her out before. Good to see Kyriakos is doing a real bangup job.
Re: AFTER EXITING THE STAGE
Yeah, they could have and at the same time we both know how the rules go— [ Pulls a stubborn one free. ] If they ask three questions before we're able to give our hint, then that's how it goes.
[ Giving his hand a bit of a squeeze. ] You think they aren't trying? Have you not looked at their faces as we're lying to them? Pretending that everything is fine? That nothing is going to happen?
Re: AFTER EXITING THE STAGE
So without arguing or blaming more people, he's just... dropping his head to Panther's shoulder in resignation. This isn't over. He's got to pull himself together. ]
Re: AFTER EXITING THE STAGE
You're going to want to lessen the blow to Epona. [ It's not even a question because he knows he's going to do it. Without a question even if it's probably not going to work because of Nyssa and her bullshit. ] You're still going to be that idiot who throws it all to make sure she's okay.
Re: AFTER EXITING THE STAGE
I'll do whatever it takes, next to making a deal with Nyssa. At least I know better than that.
[ Don't need any more repeats, and he may have lost his cool, but he's not completely stupid, despite what some people might say. ]
Even if I have to deal out the punishment myself. I won't let Nyssa have that pleasure.
Re: AFTER EXITING THE STAGE
[ Once Coyote's hand is all taken care of, he's going to stand in front of him with arms crossed. ]
I want to help Takshaka and Ratatoskr, however I stand here and not want to do anything for Epona either. [ Because Star...because of how much she tries and those answers they're—he'll become a monster if he has to in order to save them. ]
Re: AFTER EXITING THE STAGE
[ Since, well, going solo might not be an option? Hard to say. Depends on their puppet master. ]
We'll see just have to see what she has in mind exactly. [ He holds up his hand. ] Thanks.
[ But he's going to go flop down in a chair because dressing rooms always have chairs, right? ]
Re: AFTER EXITING THE STAGE
It looks like Takshaka got off lightly, at least, from what I've seen. I don't think I'll need help doing that besides, if they have one person to fear it should be me. [ He doesn't say this to be edgy just...limit the damage of the people who hate them. ]
